| Hankinnan lyhyt kuvaus | 1. Background of the procurement and the operating environment Yle is a Finnish public service broadcasting company. Get to know Yle in 120 seconds: https://areena.yle.fi/1-50095410 The aim is to work on long-form productions as location-independently as possible, with media being accessible to the working group from different parts of Finland. The professional production environment and related media management must meet the needs of various productions, from drama productions to children's programmes. In the future, the environment must be further developed, paying attention not only to technologies but also to the needs of users. Regardless of their technical level, all users of the centralised production system must be able to edit and publish video content. For this reason, the tools must be easily approachable and user-friendly. Processes must be as automated as possible. The needs of different publishing platforms must be met now and in the future. Yle is also looking for the possibility to integrate to other production facilities during larger joint productions. The post production workflows may vary depending on the production needs. 2. Description of the procurement In order to improve the user experience and find appropriate tools, Yle will later tender long production video management systems. Yle is looking for agile partners that can adapt as user needs change, and for whom the user experience is a strong guiding principle for system development. The supplier is required to provide at least one reference for a similar environment, within which work is performed in ways that meet Yle’s needs, creating content that is equivalent to Yle productions. The supplier must have experience in building cloud-based and API solutions as well as centralised user management. |
