Hankinnan lyhyt kuvaus | PEM electrolyzer testing laboratory will be created to the campus of LUT University as part of the POQELYZER project. The whole system is also a demonstration, research, and teaching laboratory. The aim of POQELYZER project is (1) to produce empirical data showing various aspects of water electrolyzer performance as a function of DC power quality, (2) to enable new designing techniques that take into account the optimization of the power electronics output waveform and the reduction of electrolyzer stacks’ energy consumption, and (3) to contribute to the research field by recognizing and solving the unknown issues related to the impact of power quality on the water electrolyzers. The test rig consist of test bed which houses the electrolyzer cell, PSU that is used to power the electrolyzer and is able to generate user defined waveforms as well as the liquid and gas circulations with measurements and controls needed to determine the degradation and efficiency of the system. For accurate measurements, most important factors have been identified to be temperature control, pressure control, gas measurements and PSU control and measurements. All system controls and measurements would be read and controlled using LabVIEW software. |
