Replying or failing to reply to this advance notice does not preclude participation in any call for tenders. The information given in this notice is preliminary and subject to change as the preparations proceed. The advance notice is not binding in any way. The advance notice includes a request for interested parties to send their contact details by 19th April 2023 at the latest to [email protected] using the subject “ELTO Improving Automation and Quality”. According to a preliminary estimate, parties who submit their contact details will be given the opportunity to answer Customs' questions on the ELTO issues (via email). Finnish Customs will send the questions to the interested parties via email. According to a preliminary estimate, the parties involved in the market dialogue will be invited to participate in a technical dialogue later during the year 2023. The descriptions given in this notice and the estimated publication date of the contract notice are provisional and indicative, and not binding on the procurement unit of Finnish Customs. The interested parties will not be remunerated for their participation in the market dialogue. A party participating in the market dialogue must take into account the following information on ELTO Improving Automation and Quality: Finnish Customs has started a project of improving the processing and analyzing of digital evidence. The goal is to purchase a ready-made software solution and required hardware that can be deployed to a closed network. The aim of the project is to: 1. Improve the processing of digital evidence by implementing process automation. 2. Improve the analyzing capabilities of end users by implementing a centralized system to store processed digital evidence. 3. Provide a non-technical investigators access to processed data through a browser-based user interface. The solution needs to contain: 1. System for automating the processing of digital evidence. 2. A browser-based user interface for reviewing processed digital evidence. The user interface should be suitable for non-technical investigators. 3. The hardware resources required to store the processed digital evidence. The automation solution may also use Customs' existing hardware resources for processsing digital evidence. 4. The hardware resources required to store the processed digital evidence. 5. Software and licenses required for the solution. 6. Training for the main users and user manuals.
