| Hankinnan lyhyt kuvaus | Council decisions and regulations contain provisions on so-called autonomous restrictive measures, or sanctions. Council regulations are directly applicable legal acts in all Member States which are binding on both the authorities and individual operators in these countries. The Member States also have an obligation to take national measures to implement any sanctions laid down exclusively in Council decisions. A regularly updated list of persons, groups and entities on the EU sanction list can be downloaded on the EU’s website (https://data.europa.eu/data/datasets/consolidated-list-of-persons-groups-and-entities-subject-to-eu-financial-sanctions?locale=en). Using the sanction list screening service, central government accounting units, agencies and off-budget entities can screen their partners and contracting parties as required under Council of the European Union decisions and regulations. In addition to the sanction list of the European Union the sanction list screening service includes sanction lists of OFAC, United Nations and United Kingdom. SCREENING OF THE CENTRAL GOVERNMENT'S PARTNERS AND PARTNER CANDIDATES The service includes a sanction screening mechanism for the use of the central government, that finds out the owners as well as ultimate beneficial owners of companies screened, and monitors if these persons or companies are listed in the sanction lists of the European Union, OFAC, United Nations or United Kingdom. |
