| Hankinnan lyhyt kuvaus | The optical and electrical properties of single crystals strongly depend on crystallographic orientations. Back reflection Laue system allows real-time crystal orientation with high accuracy. Intense X-ray beam with miniature spot size is delivered by the system to identify the crystallographic orientations. For further material processing, the system is installed with goniometer to fix the orientation and thus to replicate the position in a cutting machine which then cuts the material along the pre-defined orientation. The Microelectronics Research Unit, University of Oulu, is seeking a real-time crystal orientation identification system, i.e., a Laue camera system, with compatibility of goniometer to be used with cutting machines such as the Buehler IsoMet1000 model. The system is designated for the research and development of various single-crystal materials showing opto-electric, ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties. |
