Hankinnan lyhyt kuvausSavonia University of Applied Sciences (Savonia UAS) is one of the largest and most versatile universities of applied sciences in Finland. Our organization of experts educates strong professionals in six different fields of study. Our versatile degree programmes offer the students the opportunity to study as a full-time student or alongside their job (Master’s Degree and specialised studies) or flexibly in the Open University of Applied Sciences. Our campuses are located in Kuopio, Iisalmi and Varkaus. Savonia actively serves the working life in the region – especially in its selected focus areas. Our research, development and innovation work (RDI) offers expertise and tailor-made problem-solving to enterprises and organizations. The equipment to be acquired will be utilised in research, development and teaching use at Savonia's Energy Research Centre (http://energiatutkimus.savonia.fi) in cooperation with companies and partners in the region in developing (TCES) energy storage solutions for future energy systems. Savonia University of Applied Sciences aims later to acquire an oven/reactor suitable for testing how the materials used in thermochemical energy storage (TCES) react. Savonia University of Applied Sciences wants information on what kind of laboratory equipment (reactors, furnaces, etc.) is available or can be applied to testing reactions suitable for thermochemical energy storage in the laboratory. The budget is about 35,000 - 70,000 € (below the EU thresholds) In particular, there is a desire to study the release of stored energy, i.e. the exothermic phase. Reactions may include e.g. o CaCO3 + heat < > CO2 + CaO o 6Mn2O3 + heat <-> 4Mn3O4 + O2 o CaO + H2O <-> Ca(OH)2 + heat o Na + Cl -> NaCl + heat An example of batch testing (no substance is added to or removed from the reactor, but all the substance has been added at the beginning of the experiment and the process is allowed to proceed until the reaction slows down and ceases) o Materials is fed into the reactor (solid and gaseous)  o Reactor will be heated from 20°C up to the ignition temperature o Measuring the temperature at which the reaction between the substances begins (ignition temperature), the heat released when reacting (adiabatic combustion temperature) and examining the reaction products. In addition, we want information about companies that can provide the above-mentioned devices. We will inquire about your views on the following matters: 1. Do you offer some or all of the equipment needed for the project? Do you offer other equipment for the TCES process? 2. Identify your products/devices. Attach any brochures. 3. What is your preliminary price estimate of your proposed implementation? 4. Your schedule estimate? Does the schedule have pricing effects and, if so, what kind? 5. Describe your company's experience with the products in question. Please indicate the number of references/ references you have for the delivery of equipment corresponding to the destination of the purchase. 6. Do you have at your service (at your disposal) experts who could be appointed to this project, please name them? What kind of references do they have? 7. Please include your contact information.
