| Hankinnan lyhyt kuvaus | The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland (hereinafter "the Contracting Entity", "the Contracting Authority" or "the Client") requests tenders to the following project: Design services for refurbishment and restoration of Villa Lante. Villa Lante al Gianicolo is one of the best-preserved Renaissance villas in Rome and a precious example of the work of Raphael’s school in Rome and the “golden era” of the Medici popes. Villa Lante has a long cultural history. The foundation Institutum Romanum Finlandiae and the Finnish state bought the villa in 1950, and the Finnish Institute in Rome started its work in there 1954. The aim of the procurement is to find the best possible designer team to complete the Villa Lante´s executive/implementation design phase. The team shall include the designers of architectural, structural, HVAC, electrical and related designers. The scope of the procurement includes following refurbishment and restoration design services: • Head and Architectural Design • Structural Design • HVAC Design (including plumbing, sewer, gas, ventilation, heating, automation and cooling) • Electrical Design • Safety coordination • Execution of the contractor tendering and contracting The Client has sourced the Finnish designer team to complete earlier design phases i.e. proposal and general design phases. Currently the general design is ongoing and should be finalized by the end of the March 2022. Design phases are as following: Proposal design (Responsibility of Finnish architect and designers) General design (Responsibility of Finnish architect and designers) Implementation design (Responsibility of architect and designers, which will be selected by this call for tenders) Construction time design (Responsibility of architect and designers, which will be selected by this call for tenders) As the property is a historical and valuable renaissance villa in Rome, excellent knowledge of Italian and Roman building history, local regulations, technical requirements, and processes is a critical factor for success of the project. Thus, the Client is looking for the design organization to complete executive/implementation design which will be based on the currently ongoing general design and plans. To ensure information sharing and the transformation to the design team, the design teams shall work together and support each other during the rest of the project phases. By all means, Finnish designers would be primarily responsible for the proposal and general design phases and designers, which will be selected by this call for tenders, for the technical and execu-tive/implementation design phases until end of the project.
