| Hankinnan lyhyt kuvaus | In the NoICE project, the latest version of the Weather Research Forecast (WRF) model has been modified to implement particular physics models to understand the role of ice on the simulations in the Botnia-Atlantica region and surroundings. The model was also optimized for the project goals (solving icing issues in the Nordic countries). The objective of this procurement is to continue and complete the work with the model and provide the project with expertise in modelling and atmospheric science. The tasks consist of continuing the work already done in the project, integrating the existing WRF model with statistical analyses of data at partner universities in the project, provide expertise for the centre of excellence (NoICE) regarding icing from an atmospheric sciences-perspective, search and download of data for new scenarios about icing in the Nordic countries, data analyses as suggested by the project, and participate in publishing results with the project partners. The work is coordinated by Novia UAS. The information produced should be made public through publications. |
