Digital services and data driven development are strategic focus points for Yle, and the web is growing in importance as a distribution channel. Being a public media company Yle is also responsible for national communications during crises. These facts make web analytics vital for Yle. Currently Yle’s online content gets approximately 5,5 billion page views annually. This is expected to grow in the upcoming years. The service Yle looks for needs to respond to this increase in usage. Yle is also likely to launch completely new online services. The service needs to respond to growth in the usage of current services and also to the usage of new services. |
