Hankinnan lyhyt kuvausProcurement background 3D active stereo visualization system for real-time simulations in the Laboratory of Intelligent Machines is to be purchased. 3D Visualization system is to consist of curved cylindrical screen, 3D active stereo projectors, 3D active shutter glasses, automatic calibration system, and projector support structure. System should support researches on mechatronic machine design, especially using simulation technologies based on Unity software. We will do also research on human – machine interaction. Visualization system will be used in integration with motion platforms, motion capture cameras, EEG and EMG sensors and haptic devices. Description of current state Current simulation laboratory consists of four 3D active stereo screens, six degree of freedom motion platform, head tracking system, surround sound system and multibody simulation software. Simulator is now out-of-use because two of the projectors are broken and no spare parts are available. The whole visualization system needs to be replaced, because it is outdated. Cube shape simulator will be replaced with curved shape to be able to have more feeling of immersion. Description of the target state We are seeking for turnkey solution to provide 180-220 degrees cylindrical screen visualization system. Diameter of the screen can be between five and six meters. Visualization system will be used by many research groups, like mechanical engineering, civil engineering and health care. System must be universal, flexible and easy to use and it must serve its intended purpose. Low latency of the system is very important for simulation purposes. The subject of the procurement is described in more detail in the annexes to the invitation to tender.
