| Hankinnan lyhyt kuvaus | The object of the procurement is to purchase fixed scanner update at the Vaalimaa border crossing point. The object of the procurement also includes maintenance services for fixed scanner. In this procurement, fixed scanner means inspection/imaging system, which is used for scanning whole trucks (loaded/unloaded), containers and vehicles to reveal dangerous and/or illegal cargo and to carry out manifest verification to reduce the need for manual inspection. Currently Finnish Customs has fixed scanner at the Vaalimaa border crossing point, but current fixed scanner has reached the end of life cycle. For this reason, Finnish Customs purchases an update. Update means, that the supplier is not obliged to renew all existing components (for example radiation protection doors). The supplier may use suitable components from the existing fixed scanner if the supplier can be assured that the updated scanner will work as defined in our requirements. The supplier must take responsibility for the reused parts and include the reused components in the maintenance contract. |
