| Hankinnan lyhyt kuvaus | This call for bids is for a portable packer system, capable of level determined groundwater sampling and hydraulic-testing in deep open boreholes. The system must be able to: 1. Reliably isolate a section of a borehole from both above and below the testing interval. 2. Two pairs of packers are required. 3. Have a maximum diameter of 50 mm while deflated. 4. The packers must function in boreholes with diameters ranging from 56-76 mm. 5. Have some form of dedicated design for preventing the packers getting accidentally stuck in boreholes. Preferably, the system includes some method of catching loose debris falling from borehole walls. 6. Have centralizers, which keep the packer centred in the borehole during installation. 7. Each packer should have two pass-throughs dedicated for water sampling. 8. Support for a common pressure line serving all packers simultaneously. 9. The system must also have been designed or customized for portable use. Thus, packers intended for grouting or other permanent or semi-permanent installations are not considered in the bidding process. The geological survey has a long history in advanced hydrogeological studies, and it acknowledges, that currently existing packer systems might struggle to fit all the requirements above. Thus the bidder will likely have to have the capability to either provide a completely custom made solution or modify its existing products to fit the requirements above. Because of the custom nature of the product, also other innovative new solutions, completely differing from traditional inflatable packer systems, are encouraged and considered during the bidding process. However, the level of innovation in itself is not part of the procurement criteria. The delivery has to take place on or before 30.4.2020 |
