| Hankinnan lyhyt kuvaus | Aalto University School of Electrical Engineering, Department of Electronics and Nanoengineering is conducting research on integrated circuits and nanoelectronic devices. A microwave signal generator will be used to characterize radio-frequency integrated circuits. The main use case for this instrument will be to act as an LO source for signal up/down-conversion while characterising integrated communication circuits in the new 5G frequencies. In addition, it will be used as a high-purity clock source for ultra-high-speed digital circuits. In these use scenarios signal purity – phase noise, jitter, and harmonic content – are of special interest and therefore we are seeking for a signal source with lowest noise and highest spectral purity.
