Hankinnan lyhyt kuvaus | Digital slide scanner with image analysis software Description of the system We are looking for a digital brightfield slide scanner (upgradeable with a fluorescence module) with an image analysis software for analyzing the histopathology in the scans. The slide scanner has to provide a functional system for scanning tissue sections on glass slides and viewing the scans. The scanner will be used for research purposes. The slides to be scanned are loaded in the scanner in racks. Scanner will automatically scan and convert the slides to digital data. The scanning program detects the tissue section on the slide and automatically sets the focus points for scanning. Additionally, we request for an offer of a software compatible with the offered slide scanner for analyzing the histopathology on the scanned whole slide images. The required applications for the image analysis software are quantification of cells, nuclei and/or other cell organelles and morphometric analysis of different features (e.g. cross-sectional area of cells, area of vacuoles, steatosis or fibrosis and vessel and capillary density and area). The software needs to be adaptable for differing morphometrical analysis and there should be a possibility to tailor applications user-based for analysis of various research purposes. The image analysis software includes automated deep learning feature to create analysis applications by researchers without need for programming. The instrument will be part of the Biocenter Oulu core facilities at University of Oulu and is to be installed in the laboratory at the Biocenter Oulu premises at the Kontinkangas campus. The estimated value of the procurement is 250000-270000 euros. |
