| Hankinnan lyhyt kuvaus | FHAIVE (Finnish hub for development and validation of integrated approaches) is a research institute devoted to the development and validation of integrated approaches (IATA) for toxicological risk assessment. FHAIVE’s mission is to develop IATA by integrating advanced in vitro models with toxicogenomics and artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled advanced data modelling. FHAIVE contributes to the next generation risk assessment with its multidisciplinary expertise including in vitro test systems at multiple degrees of complexity, omics-technologies, and in silico data modelling based on advanced AI algorithms. FHAIVE is an official GLP laboratory and EU NETVAL reference laboratory in inter-laboratory test method validations. The Nanoparticle Tracking Analyzer (NTA) is a device specifically designed for determining the size distribution, characteristics, and fluorescence properties of nanoscale particles, such as extracellular vesicles (EVs), in a given sample. EVs have emerged as a significant focus of research, particularly as biomarkers for the identification and prediction of various diseases and conditions. NTA stands out as one of the current gold standards for methods employed in the characterization of EVs. Contracting authority (CA) is hoping to have new device delivered and installed for use as soon as possible. |
