Hankinnan lyhyt kuvausContracting authority is looking to acquire a standalone nanoindenter with high-speed mapping and multiple sample testing capability for materials research. A nanoindenter is an instrumented indentation tester that is used for indentation testing at nano/micro length scales. The standalone nanoindenter will be used to perform small-scale mechanical property measurements on all material classes - metals, ceramics, polymers, biomaterials, composites, thin films, coatings and additively manufactured materials. It should enable loading multiple samples (> 5 samples at a time) and perform automated measurements to provide mechanical properties e.g. hardness, modulus, etc. The standalone nanoindenter will be a part of Advanced Mechanics of Materials Infrastructure (https://www.tuni.fi/en/research/advanced-mechanics-materials) at Tampere University which comprises of state-of-the-art mechanical testing equipments covering micro-to-macro scale mechanical testers. The standalone nanoindenter is expected to complement the capabilities of the already existing in-situ SEM nanoindenter at Tampere University by enabling automated multi-sample testing for academic and industrial research.
