Hankinnan lyhyt kuvausThe purpose of the procurement is to obtain expert services to support the Nordic Icing Center of Expertise (NOice). NOice supports industry and organizations by collecting, applying and transferring the latest technologies associated with mitigating atmospheric icing associated problems. The acceptable offeror will demonstrate: international accomplishments in icing research including but not limited to the Norwegian confines of the Botnia-Atlantica region, posses cold wind-tunnel facilities (including flow visualization capabilities) to be used for experimental verification of models, experience in developing new ice accretion and icing parameter instruments for outdoor use, including observation networks, mastery of computational fluid dynamic methods for modelling the icing characteristics of outdoor structures as a function of aerodynamic details, heat-flow characteristics of materials and weather parameters, current research with characterization and mitigating of icing problems for electric grid operations in the Nordic area (especially Statnett). The offeror shall: provide direct and indirect access to automated icing observations within the Nordic region consisting of both spatial and temporal components, provide structure shape/material specific algorithms for implementing Nordic area geo-spatial icing predictions to be coupled with WRF output parameters, implement computational fluid dynamic icing model tests with wind tunnel observations for verification studies, provide multiple industry connections to the NOice processes (excluding the wind energy industry).
