| Hankinnan lyhyt kuvaus | Tampere University, Engineering Materials Science has a strong strategic focus on evaluating material performance in different challenging environments at different length scales. Several professors and research groups are working on mechanics, wear of materials, and tribology, focusing on the characterization of material behavior as well as numerical simulations and predictions of materials performance and lifetime. The versatile multipurpose tribometer will enable to cope with the future diverse tribological contact and loading situations with one piece of equipment. The facility will, e.g., enable scratch tests, reciprocating tests, and pin/ball-on-disc contacts at very high speeds and up to 1000°C. The system should be modular, so that the university can update it later. Research groups will test wear and tribological properties of all material groups, including metals, ceramics, polymers, composites, and coatings. PHASING OF THE CALL: - First phase of call ends May 15th 2023. At this time 70 of 100 points are taken into account when comparing tenders. - Second phase of call concerns usability evaluation incl. customer references. Top tenderer candidates after phase 1 (depending on the number of tenderers) will be included in phase 2. Second phase is expected to be ending June 5th 2023 after which time contracting authority issues remaining 30 of 100 points. |
