| Hankinnan lyhyt kuvaus | The Materials Science and Environmental Engineering unit at Tampere University is planning to extend its expertise in handling and processing of sensitive materials for energy storage applications. Such materials require argon atmosphere with impurities O2, H2O below 1 ppm. For this, the unit plans to buy a glove box system (single side use) that would be used both for storage, handling of materials as well as for processing them. The system will be used for research purposes to study and develop next generation of battery materials. The materials experts will be using the system on a daily basis, and so features like low noise pumps, fans etc are expected to be standard. The system will consist of 6 gloves all on the same side, possible by extending a 4-glove system with a 2-glove system through a partition wall. Both systems will share the same purification unit. The accessories possibly inside the glove box could be for example: a furnace, a sealing machine, a ball-mill, and a die-press. The suppliers are expected to follow the illustration for the design of the required glove box system, as appended. |
