| Hankinnan lyhyt kuvaus | This is a Request for Information by Finavia for Glycol recycling solutions. This is an invitation for all potential system or service suppliers to provide information of their glycol recycling solutions. Finavia invites all potential suppliers with a solution either in full production readiness or in development stage to participate in this market survey. BACKGROUND De-icing is a paramount flight safety related process. In Nordic countries and in Helsinki especially, properly functioning de-icing is a key element, as well as timely availability of de-icing fluids. At the present, in the Helsinki Airport, the waste glycol/used glycol is collected from de-icing runoff and from stormwaters. With this Request for information, Finavia is looking for possible solutions to recycle collected waste glycol/used glycol to Aircraft de-icing fluid (ADF) either as an on-site or off-site solution. RESPONSE TO RFI Finavia wishes that following topics would be covered in your response to RFI: • Available technologies • Information on processing of Low concentrate glycol (b-glycol); especially processing of Low concentrate glycol (b-glycol) to High concentrate glycol (a-glycol) • Information of processing waste glycol/used glycol to Aircraft de-icing fluid (ADF) o Closed loop system possibilities o Off-site possibilities (potential processing technologies, processing locations and logistic solutions) • Indicative pricing information and investment models of the solutions presented • Suppliers' reference projects • Suppliers’ cooperation of with established ADF manufacturer(s) Format of the response to this RFI is not restricted, and your response may contain multiple documents. All responses are to be sent via Supplier portal. Based on the submitted replies, Finavia invites selected suppliers to join in further discussion to go over their replies. Discussions will be conducted in English or Finnish. OTHER INFORMATION Finavia kindly reminds all potential suppliers that this is not a procurement notification or an Invitation to Tender, but a market survey and a Request for Information. Finavia does not commit to carrying out the procurement. All information collected with the Request for Information is confidential and shall only be used for planning the concept. This Request for Information does not obligate Finavia to carry out any procurement or to take the received responses into consideration when compiling a possible Invitation to Tender. Responding to the Request for Information is not a prerequisite for participating in possible procurement and giving a response does not obligate or entitle the party giving the response to participate in the possible procurement. Participating in this RFI will not be compensated. |
