The objective of the dialogue is to improve our understanding of the market offering regarding credit information services.",

"Among other products, Finnvera offers Finnish companies export credit guarantees. As an example, by means of export receivables guarantee, exporters can insure their receivables from a foreign buyer against credit losses. Before a guarantee can be granted, the background information of the subject company must be investigated. Finnvera uses credit information reports to assess the risks.",

"The credit information reports should include the following information in English or Finnish of the investigated company:",

"a) recent financial statements ",
"b) ownership structure",
"c) payment behaviour.",

"Due to the EU state aid rules, Finnvera normally grants the majority of the short-term guarantees to non-marketable countries. However, as a part of the Temporary Framework for State aid measures to support the economy in the current COVID-19 outbreak, the EU Commission has announced the marketable risk countries as temporarily non-marketable until the end of December 2021. These countries include for example the EU-countries and other western industrialised countries. Thus, in addition to the marketable countries, the credit information service provider should be able to provide credit information reports of companies at least in the following areas: Eastern Europe, Asia, Middle and South America.",

"Cooperation with other Export Credit Agencies is considered as an advantage. Due to the large variety of countries in which the exporters\u2019 buyers are located, we wish that the participating credit information service provider is a well-established company covering a large amount of countries.",

"Finnvera is renewing its financial IT-system in the upcoming years. Thus, we are also interested in potential interface solutions in the future. While working with the current system, all suggestions are considered regarding how the credit information can be easily received and utilised in connection with the guarantee handling-process."
