In a microscopy center environment, the micro-XRF must be a flexible system suited for analysis of varied samples including, but not limited to metals, semiconductors, glasses, geological samples, polymers and fragile biological samples. The capability to map the distribution of lighter elements is especially important to many fields of research in Tampere University. The system must be able to detect elements from carbon up to americium. ",
