"HUS can also invite candidates to present their product portfolios and discuss the upcoming invitation to tender in candidate specific market consultation meetings. These meetings would be held as teleconferences through MS Teams. Meeting times will be later informed to candidates by email after the deadline for answering this consultation has been expired. Please note, that the possible market dialogue meetings would be held in June 2022, if HUS considers them necessary.",

"Candidates are not reimbursed for answering the prior information notice or participating in the market consultation. The information gathered with the prior information notice will be used to prepare procurement documents and remains confidential. For the sake of clarity, HUS states that answering to the prior information notice does not constitute such preparatory activity for a procurement that this would preclude the candidate from submitting a tender to invitation to tender (see section 66 of the Act on Public Procurement and Concession Contracts)."

"The Gastroenterology Unit of Jorvi is responsible for the treatment of liver diseases in a population of more than 300,000 inhabitants. Liver fibrosis measurement is essential for the diagnosis and assessment of the progression of liver disease. Today, about 25% of the population has fatty liver disease and some of the cases are developing into cirrhosis. ",

"Fibroscan device has had a major role in the treatment of liver diseases for more than 10 years. Fibroscan device would enhance and improve patient care by serving specialists reliable fibrosis assessment tool, that also would contribute to reduction of unnecessary liver biopsies . In addition, nurses could also easily perform the measurements of liver fibrosis and fat with the help of sensors of the device. An ultrasound feature included in some of the devices available on the market, is however not needed at HUS' outpatient clinic, as the ultrasound examinations are performed at the x-ray departments of the HUS.",
